This guide will teach you how to park and transfer calls.
Parked Calls
On a Freshphone's system, you have the ability to "Park" a call. This gives more options when transferring a call. NOTE: This is not the same as putting a caller on hold (the pause button).
To park a call, press Transfer + 70 + Dial. This places your caller into the virtual parking lot (similar to a queue).
NOTE: 70 sends calls to the parking lot, where 71-78 are the parking spaces in which the calls are placed.
Once transferred, an automated response will state the caller's parking space number. Make sure you remember the parking space number! You can then hang up your phone.
At this point, you can dial the caller's parking space number from any extension to connect with the call.
Example: Receptionist Jill answers a call from customer John Smith. Jill presses Transfer + 70 + Dial to place a call into a parking space. Customer John Smith is placed into parking space 71. In the next room, coworker Bob presses 71 + Dial to talk with customer John Smith.
If no one picks up the parked call within 5 minutes, it will ring again.
