Steps for how to record your Auto Attendant / IVR Greeting.


NOTE: Auto Attendant / IVR is NOT the same as your extension's personal voicemail greeting. To record and set up your Auto Attendant, follow these steps:



Step 1

  • Make sure you have a plan in place for what you want to say and what you want your Auto Attendant to do.

Step 2

  • Record your message by calling our Recording Line at 616.228.8707, or email support@freshphone.com an audio file.

  • When calling the Recording Line, follow the recorded directions.


Step 3

  • If you haven't already discussed the changes with your Freshphone Architect, you will want to create a new Freshphone support ticket after recording your message.

  • If you already have a ticket, there's no need to create an additional one.


Step 4

  • In your ticket, be sure to include:

    • Which recording(s) you want to use;

    • When and under what conditions you want each message to play;

    • The purpose of each button option pressed (Example: "Press 1 for sales");


Step 5

  • Your Freshphone representative will reply with questions and/or when your Auto Attendant is set up.
